Skateboard Marketing Indie Party
In conjunction with the CMJ Convention in town- good friends of the Metal industry got treated to the 2004 Skateboard Marketing party as they celebrated their 13th anniversary. As hundreds of Radio and industry flock into New York the yearly party takes place at none other than Don Hill's in NYC is the place to be- check out www.skateboard-marketing.com for photos from the party. We got treated to a special set of Dirty Rig with new front man- lead singer Kory Clark- special thanks to Munsey for throwing a killer metal party!

Halloween Party at The Cup in Linden 10/23/04

Gotta love a place that supports metal music- so it was great fun to go and check out Metal night at the Cup in Linden NJ...We got to check out some killer local metal bands- Suspyre, Malakis Reign, and Morbid Sin. Malakis Reign plays straight forward Power Metal and Morbid Sin has a vocalist that can stand up to the man himself, King Diamond ! It was refreshing to hear such talented metal acts in a small club. True metal fans should check out these bands and give them a listen or see them! Also at the party were many metal artists, friends, guests and those in the industry; Jack Frost from Seven Witches, Mike Lepond from Symphony X, Mark Gromen from BW&BK magazine, Rich & Toni (great hosts from www.thatssometal.com), Metal Fury.com, Metal Mike from Painmuseum/ Testament www.painmuseum.com, and Henrik from Evergrey. Special thanks to John Paris and SPV Records for bringing down all the great music to giveaway and for their support in our endeavors. We look forward to working with you again on future projects.

Anthrax Video Shoot
Friends of Metalforever.com got invited down to a cool small little club in NYC for an Antrhax video shoot- two of the best parts of the night- were being able to see metal heads going crazy on stage in front of cameras banging their heads to the new Antrhax single and meeting Mistress Julyia from Fuse TV's Uranium. Juliya is totally cool and you can see why she is the new queen of METAL!!!

The only disappointing/ BS thing of the night was that no ONE- we mean NO ONE from the actual band showed up. If you read the invitation to come down to the shoot as well as the press release- one would assume that the band or at least of few of the guys were going to show up... my advice to Antrhax would be- simply be honest in your press releases- if you doing a video shoot to feature fans- and your not going to show up- great- tell everyone- don't mis-lead the fans into thinking you are going to show up, when you have no intention of doing so- you pissed off more fans than you needed to!!!

Eddie Trunk’s Halloween Bash with Overkill and Mike Portnoy on Drums!

It's not everyday you get to see Mike Portnoy play drums for one of the most metal of metal bands of all time- Overkill!!! Overkill drummer Tim Mallere had a family emergency, and Dream Theatre's Mike Portnoy, stepped in on just 2 hours rehearsal, came in and did an amazing job! The set featured a bunch of early Overkill classics. They opened with Hammerhead and also did, Hello From The Gutter, In Union We Stand, Rotten To The Core, Powersurge, Wrecking Crew, Elimintation (with Eddie T. & Piazza on vocals) and more. Plus covers of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Hymn 43, and others. Guests in attendance included Mike Piazza, comics Jim Florentine & Don Jamieson (see them on Inside The NFL), Butch Patrick (AKA Eddie Munster), Jack Frost, Chris Cafferey (TSO & Savatage), Metal Mike (Halford band), and many more. New WASP Sent to Metalforever.com
Our good friends at Chipster PR and Sanctuary Records www.sanctuaryrecordsgroup.com sent us a copy of the new WASP release- the Neon God Part 2. Produced by Blackie Lawless himself- this concept CD is a follow up to Neon God's. W.A.S.P. will be out for a second World Tour in the fall. Blackie, Mike, Stet and Darrell will be going back to Europe one more time revisiting some of the cities they played during the last summer tour and adding new stops like Russia, Poland and Estonia. The tour will also include several dates in the States. The band will change their set list from the last tour . The new set list will be about 50% different in content, and will include classic hits they haven't played live for a long time, as well as material from the new albumsCheck out http://www.waspnation.com
