May 2005-
We were fortunate enough to be sent an advance copy of the forthcoming Tyranny Of Souls, Bruce's new solo venture. The CD follows up where Chemical Wedding left off. Classic Maiden fans, and fans of Dickinson's Chemical Wedding will not be disappointed. Bruce rips fresh new metal, like metal is meant to be played and his voice sounds as powerful as it's ever been!
This release sees Bruce return once again to collaborate with guitarist/producer/writer Roy Z. The album's cover is adorned with a 15th century depiction of Hell by Hans Hemling and the music continues along this path to explore dark, apocalyptic themes. Delving into science, theology and of course, his love of flight, with thought provoking, intelligent and menacing lyrics that are sure to leave the listener's mind unsettled, Tyranny Of Souls is pure Dickinson. Heavy riff-laden songs and explosive virtuoso guitar work from Roy joined with the definitive Dickinson soaring vocals, makes this groundbreaking album a tour de force of modern Metal.
It was following on from the end of the last Maiden tour that Bruce saw an opportunity to work alongside Roy again.
"With Maiden, once the band has finished up on the tours, we all tend to go our separate ways and do our own thing for a while until itŐs time to saddle up again for the next album. I knew I could seize the chance to work with Roy in between his work on the new Judas Priest album. We both work quickly together which I like and the recording is very organic so it came together quite easily. I'm very proud of it."

Slave to the Metal-
You all know our favorite METAL VJ from Uranium on FUSE TV- now all of her fan's get even MORE Juliya with her new show Slave to the Metal. On this show, our Mistress Juliya interacts with all of you the fans! Decked out in full lingerie (who doesnŐt love that !)- sitting on her bed of love- she answers phone calls and e-mails from everything on everyoneŐs metal mind.
Sex, love, and of course METAL are all fair game for her new show. Check it out on FUSE.TV http://www.fuse.tv/launcher.php . for show times and schedules. Metalforever.com will be interviewing Juliya soon, so keep checking back as we turn the tables and interview her!
Havochate-
Havochate we were fortunate enough to catch up on the phone with Freddy- the Guitarist from Havochate to discuss their new CD-"Cycle of Pain". This is the bands first CD with their new label Indecent Media. The first thing that hits you when you check out this disc is the production- the CD hits you hard like a wall of sound and we asked Freddy about this- Freddy say's- "We are really pleased with the sound on the new record. Jouergen at the label was fantastic to work with they gave us everything we needed and it really allowed us to step up our game". Havochate will be playing the BWBK 6 pack weekend, and Freddy told us that their label is now talking with a few summer festivals and will be up for any touring package they can get on.. Freddy told us how Indecent Media not only is helped them get the killer metal sound on this CD, but the distribution and promotion has been fantastic- metal heads can find the new Havocahte at every major CD retailer such as FYE, Tower and Coconuts etc...
Freddy also talked about the first single- Fiction- he told us the band is shooting a video soon and they are excited that this song might be able to cross over into more mainstream rock. When asked to describe the type of metal Havochate can be classified as- Freddy is quick to discredit any type of classification- "You know, everyone wants to categorize metal these days- metal core, nu metal, speed metal, thrash metal, prog metal- whatever, we basically just want to play metal- take all the genre's and mix it into one style- which is essentially metal!- that is how to describe Havochate!"
Metal fans new and old will certainly like this CD. Of all the recent submissions we receive from bands, we have to say this one stands out on its own. Check out Havochate on the web at http://havochate.net/
Metal Night at the MetroStars-
Metrostars Unite Soccer And Metal [Bravewords.com - 05.04.23 13:17:13]
In the first of a proposed periodic involvement, the NYC/NJ soccer club, Metrostars hosted a pre-game party for metalheads. In attendance at the April 22nd inaugural were Chris Caffery (SAVATAGE/TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA), "Metal" Mike Chlasciak (PAINMUSEUM/HALFORD), fresh from the DEMONS & WIZARDS and ROB ROCK recording sessions, drummer Bobby Jarzombek (PainMuseum/RIOT), Nick Douglas (DORO/DEADLY BLESSING), members of HAVOCHATE, including bassist Greg Christian (TESTAMENT), plus local musicos OPERATIKA and MALIKI'S REIGN. At times, the "stars" seemed to out-number the fans! Those that attended had a great opportunity to chat with the musicians and get autographs. Originally the brainchild of WDHA radio, ThatsSoMetal.com hosted the party, giving fans scores of free CDs and providing musical accompaniment via DJ Brotherman. BW&BK will be involved in upcoming events as well.
King Diamond NYC
King Diamond hit NYC, two days after canceling a show for throat problems. While it wasn't King Diamond's strongest vocal performance, the show still did not disappoint the truest of metal fans. The overall energy & vibe in the crowd was totally metal, and the overall vibe intense, especially for a Tuesday night. BB Kings in NYC is proving to be one of the best new metal clubs in the country. If you get a chance to check out a show at NY's BB Kings, you should do it- King Diamond is still alive and doing metal very well!!!
